CLDP conducted a four-day workshop in conjunction with the U.S. Embassy, the Georgian Research and Development Foundation and the Technical University of Georgia on R&D commercialization, technology transfer and technology licensing. The faculty for the workshop included Dr. Scott Chambers, Chair of Patton Boggs’ Intellectual Property Department, Dr. Steven Price, Associate Vice President for Technology Development at Oklahoma State University, and Ann Roberson, former President of the University of Tennessee Research Foundation and a lawyer with extensive experience in business technology transfer. Attended by Georgian advanced technology firms, research laboratories, and government representatives, the program aimed to deepen the participants’ knowledge of IP commercialization and promote the development and growth of Georgia’s science and technology sector.
