CLDP held a workshop in Pristina March 9-11, 2010, in coordination with the Kosovo Association of Information and Communication Technology (STIKK) and USAID's Kosovo Private Enterprise Program/Booz Allen Hamilton, for Kosovo's IT industry. Following the initial workshop in September 2009, this program deepened the participants' understanding of concepts of intellectual property and software licensing and answered both simple and complex questions which have emerged in the Kosovo IT community, both in the context of software licensing agreements and managerial capacity building. The faculty for the program included a US lawyer specialized in software licensing and in the safeguarding of software development firms' intellectual capital, an EU lawyer with strong expertise in IP, and a professor specialized in Kosovo IP law. CLDP will be collaborating with KPEP/BAH on an IP Manual for Kosovo’s IT sector.
