CLDP conducted a judicial capacity building seminar on IP in Islamabad, Pakistan, to equip a core group of judges with an elevated understanding of IP and Pakistan's IP law, as well as an appreciation of the social and economic importance of IP to Pakistan. The judicial training seminar took place over two days at the Federal Judicial Academy of Pakistan, in Islamabad, involving approximately 45 judges from throughout Pakistan. The seminar consisted of introductions to the general principles of IP, including IP's impact on development, and Pakistan-specific case studies. CLDP and IPO will draw on US and Pakistani IP experts, including a US federal judge, to facilitate the seminar.
