Bosnia and Herzegovina: CLDP Holds Workshop on Enforcement of International Contracts for Judges

-

On February 20-21, CLDP, in coordination with the Centre for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training of Republika Srpska and the Centre for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training of Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), conducted a two-day workshop on the Enforcement of International Sales Contracts for Bosnian judges. This workshop utilized case study materials and trainers from CLDP's Pre Moot  program hosted in Zenica, BiH.  U.S. District Court Judge Virginia Covington and Professor Don De Amicis led the program, which focused on the application of the UN Convention on the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and the New York Convention within the Bosnian legal framework. The workshop, held for 21 participants, aims to increase the capacity of judges to effectively adjudicate international commercial disputes.  The workshop also held sessions on case management techniques for judges aimed at addressing issues around BiH  case backlog and delays.
