CLDP held a workshop for the Moroccan Ministry of Commerce on the effective implementation of trade remedies, with a focus on subsidies, in Rabat from March 11-13, 2014. The program was a follow up to a training conducted by CLDP for the ministry in June 2013, which focused on anti-dumping measures.
The program was led by three experts from the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration and focused on the technical aspects of an anti-subsidies investigation, including how to determine the existence of a subsidy, calculate a subsidy, and evaluate injury and causation. The training included hands-on components such as case studies and calculation exercises. The technical structure of the program will help the participants to combat unfair trade practices.
