CLDP hosted a delegation of 15 Tunisian franchising stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and private sector executives, in Paris, France from March 21-24, 2014. The program is part of a larger initiative aiming to liberalize franchising in Tunisia. CLDP has been providing technical assistance on franchising to the Government of Tunisia for the last four years.

The delegation attended a two-day training focusing on the basic concepts and legal aspects of franchising, including a visit to a local American franchise. The participants also attended Franchise Expo Paris, one of the largest such events in the world, with more than 450 franchises represented. At the expo, participants were introduced to US franchises, facilitated in cooperation with US Embassy Paris.
