From July 16-20, in Tbilisi, Georgia, CLDP organized a summer school on intellectual property law for 50 Georgian and European law students. CLDP partnered with Georgia’s European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) and the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, “Sakpatenti,” on the program, which offered in-depth coverage on a range of issues including: trademark, copyright and patent infringement, collective management, border enforcement mechanisms, and international registration systems.

Over the course of the week, participants visited the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency and the office of Sakpatenti and met with practicing patent attorneys, patent examiners, and other IP professionals in Georgia.  This program is part of CLDP’s multi-year assistance to foster greater awareness and protection of intellectual property rights in Georgia.
