CLDP supported the participation of a law student from the American University in Kosovo and an attorney from Dechert Georgia LLC in Tbilisi, Georgia, to attend the Institute in Commercial Law and Dispute Resolution Summer Law Program from July 7-August 3, 2013 in Zagreb and Zadar, Croatia.  This summer program was hosted in cooperation with United Nations Commission on Trade Law (UNCITRAL), certified by the American Business Association (ABA), and taught by leaders in the field of commercial law dispute resolution.  Students thoroughly analyzed international business transactions, examined the laws governing the international sales of goods, and discussed the various dispute resolution mechanisms.  The program highlighted a number of key legal instruments arising out of the work of UNCITRAL.  

As part of the U.S. Government’s technical assistance to Kosovo and Georgia, CLDP will continue to provide capacity building in the field of international commercial disputes.
