From November 16-20, CLDP, in cooperation with the Foreign Commercial Service and Iraq's National Investment Commission, hosted a franchise workshop for 20 Iraqi investors on "Negotiating Franchise Agreements" in Abu Dhabi, UAE.  The program was conducted on the margins of the "2nd Annual Franchise Conference and Catalogue Show", and provided investors with practical training on how to attract US franchises to Iraq, develop skills to negotiate franchise agreements, as well as analyze the legal and commercial terms anticipated by franchises that intend to expand into Iraq.  The program also provided a unique opportunity for the participants to meet with US franchisors and a wide network of international and regional franchise experts.
