From July 13–15, 2026, at the Innovation Center of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic, the U.S. Department of Commerce's Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) conducted a Technology Startup Coaching Program to help Kyrgyz entrepreneurs strengthen their commercialization strategies and prepare their innovative technologies for engagement with the global marketplace. Experts from Cornell University, in partnership with CLDP, provided guidance to participating startups on market validation, developing effective business strategies, engaging with investors, protecting intellectual property, and positioning their technologies for potential partnerships with U.S. companies.

This program is part of CLDP's broader effort to identify innovative technologies and high-growth startups in the Kyrgyz Republic that present opportunities for the U.S. private sector. By connecting Kyrgyz entrepreneurs with U.S. companies, investors, and commercialization experts, CLDP is laying the foundation for future partnerships between Kyrgyz startups and the U.S. private sector. These efforts are designed to help U.S. companies identify promising technologies, explore potential investment and licensing opportunities, and build commercial relationships that enhance U.S. competitiveness in emerging markets.

Through targeted startup coaching and commercialization support, CLDP is helping Kyrgyz entrepreneurs better prepare their technologies for international markets while creating new pathways for collaboration between innovators and U.S. industry. By supporting the growth of a stronger startup ecosystem in the Kyrgyz Republic, CLDP is expanding opportunities for U.S. companies to engage with emerging technologies and establish partnerships with promising technology ventures.
