CLDP held workshops on the marketing of Moroccan handicrafts in the United States in Rabat from October 24-25, Fez on October 27, and Marrakech on October 30, 2017. The workshops were coordinated with Morocco's Maison de l'Artisan and Ministry of Handicrafts, Social Economy and Solidarity. CLDP and a U.S. handicraft consultant led sessions on practical aspects of developing and marketing artisanal goods targeted to the American market, including market trends, branding, product development strategies, pricing, and distribution channels. These workshops are part of a multi-phase CLDP program on increasing Moroccan handicraft exports to the United States, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative.
