On November 17, CLDP, in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru, USAID Peru, and the U.S. Embassy in Peru, hosted a private sector round table on best practices to improve the effectiveness of infrastructure procurements. USAID Mission Director Jene Thomas provided opening remarks along with the Executive Director of AmCham Peru, Aldo Deflippi, and the Director General of Peru’s General Directorate for Supply (DGA) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Mijail Vizcarra.  The round table included an overview by the MEF of the current reform to Peru’s public procurement law in addition to technical presentations on performance based contracting, procurement of integration services and market research, which were led by US procurement experts and representatives of Peru’s private sector and civil society. This event is part of CLDP’s USAID-funded project to provide technical assistance to the Government of Peru to support its efforts to incorporate best practices in the reform of its legal framework for public procurement.
