On October 1 and 28, CLDP conducted workshops for Peru's Supervisory Body for State Contracting (OSCE)’s procurement professors on Teaching Methodologies and Facilitation Techniques. This interactive workshop was a two-part workshop series. The first workshop focused on various classroom and virtual facilitation skills needed to engage the adult learner in achieving desired competencies. The second workshop focused on effectively using case study frameworks, such as the Harvard Business School model, role playing exercises, and interest based negotiation. This is part of CLDP’s broader effort to address gaps in Peru’s procurement system, which relies on a work force that suffers from inadequate training, constant turnover, and limited autonomy to make procurement decisions. CLDP’s programming was also recently highlighted in Peruvian media as an important component of Peru’s professionalization efforts.
