On April 26, in close coordination with the United States Patent &Trademark Office (USPTO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the National Intellectual Property Office (NIPO) of Sri Lanka, CLDP helped NIPO celebrate World IP Day which has a theme of “Innovation-Improving Lives” this year. This event helped raise intellectual property awareness in Sri Lanka and highlighted USG and other donor initiatives that strengthen Sri Lanka’s IP regime. On April 24, 25, 27 and 28 CLDP/USPTO/WIPO, in close coordination with the University Grants Commission, conducted university IP policy workshops for technology transfer office managers that are charged with incentivizing innovation and commercialization at their universities.
