CLDP, in cooperation with State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and private sector hosted Workshop on Authorized Economic Operators (AEO). The workshop took place in Kyiv, Ukraine on April 20-21, 2016. It gathered regional Ukrainian customs officials and private sector to review the effectiveness of the AEO scheme, focusing on the development of the legislative and regulatory framework necessary to implement the procedures on Authorized Economic Operators.  This workshop assisted the Ukrainian government and the private sector to assess the effectiveness of the adopted and implemented AEO scheme, and allowed for recommended changes to the system. As a result of a simplification of trade procedures through a transparent and rule-based system of AEOs, Ukraine will benefit from a more efficient and attractive trade climate, making it more attractive for the international and U.S. business community
