CLDP, in cooperation with the Supreme Court of Ukraine, designed and implemented the Workshop on Transparent and Efficient Court Administration II. The workshop took place in Odesa, Ukraine, on August 1-2, 2018. The workshop participants included Ukrainian lawyers and court administrators as well as representatives of the U.S. judiciary and legal community.

Adoption of new procedural codes as well as the expected establishment of the High Court on Intellectual Property is the source of both challenges and opportunities for court administration in Ukraine. A U.S. court administrator and a highly experienced practicing attorney working together with CLDP prepared a program adapted to the most topical needs of the Ukrainian judiciary, allowing it to make the most efficient use of the best international practices with regard to the most prominent issues of court administration in Ukraine. This helped further improve not only the qualifications of dozens of Ukrainian court administrators participating in the workshop, but also their colleagues in Ukrainian regions, among whom they would disseminate knowledge and expertise obtained in the workshop. 

The workshop thus contributed to the solution of challenges in the implementation of more efficient and effective court administration in Ukraine, which is among the key factors of continued reforms of the Ukrainian judiciary system.
