CLDP attended the MENA Businesswomen's Summit 2006 and added legal components to the Summit agenda, supporting the role of women lawyers in the Middle East.

CLDP formally launched the use of the Habilus court management software at the Palacio D. Ana Joaquina court building in Luanda, Angola on October 17. Angolan Justice Minister Manuel Aragao (with Vice Ministers Monteiro and Prata), Portuguese Justice Minister Costa, and U.S.

During this program, CLDP staff and advisers and Portuguese Justice Ministry officials trained 12 Luanda Provincial Court officials in the use of the Habilus court management software in Lisbon, Portugal.

CLDP staff and advisers worked with Angolan and Portuguese Justice Ministry officials in Coimbra, Portugal over 3 days to conduct final configuration and testing of the Habilus court management software, prior to its installation and inauguration in Luanda on October 17, 2006.

CLDP held an intellectual property adjudication forum in Pakistan which included judges, government officials and intellectual property professionals.
