On April 30, CLDP, in coordination with the Technology Institute of Santo Domingo, USAID/Dominican Republic, and the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo, conducted a training for Dominican journalism students on key principles and best practices in an effective procurement system. CLDP and an expert from Commerce’s OGC Contract Law Division presented on the U.S. legal framework that governs procurement and the specific procedures and mechanisms in the United States that ensure transparency in public procurement processes. CLDP was asked to support the event to improve transparency, integrity, and inclusiveness in the country’s procurement processes.
