On May 28, 2020, CLDP, in cooperation with the General Directorate for Public Contracting in the Dominican Republic (DR) and the U.S. National Women’s Business Council (NWBC), conducted a 2-hour webinar for 75 representatives of women-owned businesses on improving access to the public procurement market. The webinar, held entirely in Spanish, included an overview of the resources and preferences currently available to women-owned business in the DR in addition to presentations by the NWBC on best practices and lessons learned to expand and build on these resources. The webinar also included a presentation on how women-owned businesses can best market their products and services to a government audience.
