From July 17 - 20, CLDP supported the participation of a delegation of Dominican Officials from the Dominican General Directorate of Public Private Partnerships (DGAPP) in attending the PPP Americas Conference in Panama City, Panama. PPP Americas is the most important forum on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) in Latin America and the Caribbean, held every two years by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), including both public and private sector participation. On July 18, the Dominican Delegation hosted their own panel discussing the immense progress the DGAPP has seen over the past years, the success achieved in PPP cruise port project, Arroyo Barril, and the strengths of the Dominican Republic as an emerging market for potential PPP projects in the future. Conference participation was supported as part of CLDP’s multi-phase effort to build the capacity of the DGAPP in PPP project promotion.
