On December 6-10, CLDP sponsored the attendance of four delegates from the Dominican General Directorates for Ethics and Government Integrity (DIGEIG) and the National Budget (DIGEPRES) at the International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC). The event, organized by the U.S. Department of State and Transparency International, brought together over 500 government officials, private sector representatives, and civil society actors to discuss legal reform, policy change, and transparency mechanisms to combat corruption and increase government accountability. In her plenary address, the USAID Administrator highlighted CLDP’s work in supporting the Dominican government advance ethics and public procurement reform. The conference is part of CLDP’s recently expanded work to support the Dominican government establish effective ethics and integrity mechanisms and whistleblower protections to prevent, detect, and investigate public corruption.
