The Global Shale Gas Initiative (GSGI) is a cross-governmental effort led by the Department of State (Office of International Energy Affairs) to help key U.S. allies strengthen their energy security through the production of shale gas.

The Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC) of Iraq develops standards for all economic sectors, conformity assessments, metrology/calibrations and quality certifications.

CLDP, in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Georgia, the Georgian Research and Development Foundation and the Technical University of Georgia, held a follow up technology transfer and technology licensing workshop.
