CLDP to Hold a Competition Law Workshop on Bid Rigging in Public Procurement

On September 10-12, 2018, CLDP partnered with the Competition Agency of Georgia to conduct a Workshop on Preventing Bid-Rigging in Public Procurement.  The workshop brought together public procurement officials from the State Procurement Agency of Georgia, and other agencies at the national and regional levels, to discuss methods of identifying, investigating and preventing instances of bid rigging in public procurement.

CLDP Conducts Judicial Workshop on Intellectual Property and Training for Journalists and Media

On July 20, 2018, CLDP, in coordination with the Georgian Copyright Association (GCA) and the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, “Sakpatenti,” conducted a one-day training for 27 Georgian journalists and other representatives of the media in Batumi, Georgia. Judge Bernice Donald, U.S. Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Judge Oliver Schön of the District Court of Munich led the training and provided a general overview of intellectual property law, highlighting recent trends and developments in the U.S. and the E.U.

CLDP Holds International Conference Against Counterfeiting and Piracy

On July 12-13, CLDP partnered with the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia to hold the Fourth Annual "Georgia Against Counterfeiting and Piracy" International Conference in Batumi, Georgia. More than 120 participants attended the conference, which served as a platform for national and international experts to present developments and best practices in the field of intellectual property as they pertain to counterfeiting and piracy.

CLDP Hosts a Workshop on Public-Private Partnerships in Georgia

On March 19-20, 2018, CLDP, in cooperation with the State Procurement Agency of Georgia (SPA) and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia (MOESD), conducted a two-day workshop on public-private partnerships (PPPs) in Tbilisi, Georgia.  The workshop brought together participants from several line ministries, national agencies, and regional city halls.  Two experts joined the program, sharing public and private sector perspectives on the opportunities and challenges presented by PPPs in Georgia.
