In April 2009, a delegation from the Ukrainian State Department of Intellectual Property successfully concluded its consultation program in Washington, DC. The meetings focused on two aspects of IP protection.

In response to the request by the Iraqi government, CLDP organized a four-day workshop to introduce 17 Iraqi officials to international standards and best practices in procurement. The workshop took place in Amman, Jordan from March 29 to April 1, 2009.

CLDP collaborated with the Government of Egypt on competition issues dating back to the development of Egypt's Competition Law and the establishment of the Egyptian Competition Authority.

In order to assist Oman's development of commercial law consistent with international standards, CLDP met with Information Technology Authority (ITA) officials in Muscat, Oman to plan programming that would educate the private sector regarding the new E-Transaction Law in the country.
