Workshop for Moroccan Textile and Apparel Engineers

Following up on Textile Sourcing Consultations held by CLDP in June of 2007, CLDP advisors from the North Carolina textile industry traveled to Morocco to work with the instructors of the Moroccan School for Textile and Apparel Engineers (ESITH) in the areas of technology development and supply chain improvement to increase the scope of teaching methods and materials for emerging engineering graduates.

Customs Workshop

In response to Morocco Customs' request, CBP and CLDP organized a 5-day workshop for Morocco Customs officials from November 26-30, 2007 in Rabat, Morocco.

Rules of Origin Road Show in Morocco

CLDP, in cooperation with CBP, organized an advanced road-show in four Moroccan cities where CBP experts conducted workshops on technical assistance related to rules of origin provisions of the FTA as they pertain to textiles and apparel. The format of the program consisted of CBP experts providing training for Moroccan officials from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce as well as over 400 members from the private sector.

Textile Sourcing Consultations for Moroccan delegation in the U.S.

Responding to a request from the GOM, CLDP organized the consultations in close coordination with the U.S. Embassy in Morocco and the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service (US FCS). The consultations will took place June 9-June 15, 2007 in Washington, DC and North Carolina (NC).

Twelve representatives from the Moroccan leather industry and two repesentatives from the Moroccan Ministry of Commerce and Industry traveled to the United States to consult with U.S. government and private sector officials on current standards and technical regulations affecting the U.S. leather industry.

CLDP and IESC organized a week of consultations to take place December 6-10, 2004 in Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, and New York, NY for a twelve-person delegation of government and private sector representatives from Morocco's agribusiness industry.

Ten representatives form Morocco's automotive parts inductry met in Washington, DC, and Detroit, MI, to consult on business practices affecting the auto parts industry.
